While the movie does reflect on the love Keralites have for the beautiful game of Football, it delivers a message which goes beyond Football, it has emotional elements, touches upon the refugee crisis and civil war in Nigeria, and the traditions and cultural aspects of Kerala at its core.
The cast comprises mostly of small time actors, save for Soubin, who all did their roles exceptionally well. Soubin literally lived the character he played, very composed and natural. Story was really good and well executed. Character transformation of the protagonist played by Soubin was one of the best things I liked about the movie, some sudden predicaments we find ourselves in teaches us a lot about life and makes us appreciate what we have.
Highly recommending everyone to watch this movie football follower or not. This movie, like I said, is much more than that. Hope Soubin and Malayalam film industry produces more movies like this one.
